United States Territories Series #1
Not all people know there are territories of U.S. to go without passport.
U.S. Territories
Many people in America do not know we have territories, and we can go to some without a passport. I was one of them. In the next few weeks, go on this journey with me through each one, and we will investigate. I will list information in the first half, and then we will go on the adventure.
The territories that you do not have to have a passport to:
Guam
Commonwealth of North Mariana Island
Puerto Rico
U.S. Virgin Island
American Samoa—U.S. Birth Certificate
These islands are inhabitants of the U.S, Citizens
It would be best if you had a passport to:
Federated States of Micronesia
The Republic of the Marshall Islands
The Republic of Palau
These islands are all unincorporated and unorganized territories:
American Samoa Serranilla Bank
Baker Island Jarvis Island
Howland Island Johnston Atoll
Wake Island Kingman Reef
Midway Island Bajo Nuevo Bank
Navassa Island Palmyra Atoll—Incorporated and unorganized
Commonwealth of North Mariana Island
Mariana Island is the first island we will visit. Are you ready? We fly into the West Coast or wherever you are. We are going to the Pacific Ocean continent of Oceania. Do not worry; they are under a democratic system. I am in America, so I would fly to California and take a flight to Saipan for 29 hours or connect to Guam. Connecting in Guam sounds better. Stay in Guam for two days, rest, and see the country for a day. I did a story on Guam already. We will update it when it is ready for all 19 series to be finished.
Saipan on Mariana Island
Once you get to Saipan, rent a car to get around the island. They have the same rental companies as the mainland— Hertz, Budget, and Alamo. Saipan is the capital of Mariana, and we will be staying here. It is beautiful with its sandy shores and mountain landscapes. It is also the largest island in Mariana.
On its west coast is the tiny coral-fringed Mangahas islet; on the NE coast, turtles inhabit a cave dive site called Grotto. Memorials from WW11 called the Battle of Saipan—Banzai Cliff and Suicide Cliff. This is great to see the history and watch the turtles on the reef.

The History
In 1978, N Mariana granted self-governess; in 1986, they granted citizenship to its people. tripadvisor.com. Here is everything you need to know before you go on this trip.
In Saipan, if you go on a hike to Forbidden Island, it can be dangerous. It would be best if you were experienced with it. There is dangerous wave action and currents. That leaves me out, but my knees could not handle it anyway.
Vaccines
There are several vaccines they recommend. Here is a link to read through.
Now, let’s have some fun
We have just arrived in Saipan and rented a car. Let’s go to our hotel. We decided on a convertible since we are on an island and want to have some fun. Our hair flows in the ocean wind, so let’s not forget sunscreen.
We decided on this home with two one-bedrooms and one bath with an ocean view. It is so beautiful for 100.00 a night. Go down to the link below to see it.

Things to do:
The first day I would like to do is go to the Casino. I am tired from the trip, so let’s do something that doesn’t require a lot of walking. We go to the casino, gamble, and drink just a little until our 100.00 is gone or doubled. Tomorrow, we will go to Landyn Beach and hang out. Such beautiful beaches and we will snorkel. The white sandy beaches look inviting. There are so many restaurants on the beach road. I will choose this Japanese. It is called Garlic Grotto.
On bing.com, you can find many things to do, mainly outdoor and historical sites. This place is great for a history buff and someone who wants a relaxing vacation. They have some beautiful restaurants, so you can hike the food off if you are a hiker. I cannot because of my disabilities. I would be happy to take pictures and write. Then, I would go for a swim and return for a glass of wine.
Here, I will list some of the tourist attractions:
Banzai Cliff—see caves and swimming, but it is also a historical site where, in 1944, at the end of the war, the Japanese civilians and soldiers jumped to their deaths to keep from being caught by Americans.
Suicide Cliff—swimming This was also the historical site where the Japanese jumped to their death to keep from being captured.
The Grotto—caves—One of the top diving places in the world. They say you do not go alone, though. It can be dangerous.
Japanese Lighthouse—lighthouses, beaches, and swimming—The Japanese built it during WW11, and now has a cafe.
Saipan Katori Shrine—Amusement Park—Shrine of peace and prosperity
Chulu Beach
Many restaurants
From all of my research, the thing I see from this place is that they have reasonable pricing for houses and hotels. They are high quality: high-quality rental car companies and high-quality restaurants. They have 5-star reviews in almost everything. Here is the map where Landing Beach and a few other landmarks are.
I know this newsletter was short. I will double up on the islands if they are like this one. Have a great weekend!! I will give you a bonus. Here is my new story from Medium. Enjoy. It is straightforward about my parents.
